Made in
Clarksville.
Built to outlive us.
Twisted Trees is a small custom woodworking and furniture studio run by Julian and Kaitlyn Martin. Every piece we make carries our name — literally. We sign and date every table, cabinet, and build before it leaves our hands.

A husband-and-wife
shop with a point
of view.
Julian is a Marine veteran who spent years in the construction and electrical trades before turning that same discipline toward woodworking and furniture design. His background in problem-solving under pressure, combined with deep hands-on experience across multiple crafts, is what allows Twisted Trees to take on complex, unconventional builds that other shops won't touch. He designs every piece in 3D before a board is cut, and builds each one himself in our Clarksville shop.
Kaitlyn holds a degree in Design Management and built her career in kitchen and bath design — giving her an intimate understanding of how spaces work, how projects are planned, and how the details that make a room feel right are rarely accidental. Her background in fine art informs the aesthetic direction of every piece, while her industry experience keeps projects on track and client relationships strong.
Together they cover the full picture: creative vision, technical execution, and the business side that holds it all together.
Every piece is signed
Twisted Trees — Clarksville, TN
Every piece starts
on the workbench.
Every inlay is hand-routed and pressed flush before finishing.
The 60″ walnut top fresh off the sander, before Rubio Monocoat.
The fluted oval dining table during final prep before delivery.
The maple arch base in black paint — designed to let the walnut top take center stage.
We sign and date the underside of every piece before it leaves the shop.
The best part of the job — seeing a piece in the home it was made for.
Our craft, our standards.
No mass production
Every piece is made to order for a specific person. We don't keep inventory because we don't build on speculation.
Wood first
We work with premium hardwoods and let the material guide the design. The grain, the figure, the character of the wood — these aren't flaws to hide, they're the point.
Honest joinery
We build furniture the way it's been built for centuries — mortise and tenon, dovetails, proper glue-ups. No shortcuts that will fail in ten years.
Design before cutting
We render every piece in 3D before a single board is touched. You know exactly what you're getting before we start building.
Let's make
something real.
We'd love to hear about your project — big or small, simple or ambitious.
